University of NE-Lincoln - Physics II Direct Purchase Project
Open to artists who are residents of Nebraska and bordering states of Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, South Dakota and Wyoming
UNL and the Nebraska Arts Council are pleased to announce a Direct Purchase call for silver print photography. Artists may apply to have existing artworks considered for direct purchase.
The selected artwork will be displayed at various interior sites in the new Physics building on UNL's city campus.

Wayne State College - College Center Project
Open to artists who are residents of Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota
Wayne State College and the Nebraska Arts Council are pleased to announce a Request for Qualifications and Direct Purchase call for 2D artworks. Artists may apply to be considered for commission work, as well as submit existing works to be considered for direct purchase.
The selected artwork will form a collection to be displayed within the new College Center in Sioux City, NE.

The UNL NCTA and Nebraska Arts Council are pleased to announce the selection of Cheri Freund (Waukesha, WI) as commission artist for the project. The artwork site for the project is located on the exterior walls of the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture building under construction in Curtis, NE.
BUDGET: $72,000
This project call is closed and CSC will be announcing the selected commission artist shortly. The artwork site for the project is located in the courtyard area between the Administration building and Sparks Hall, on campus.
BUDGET: $60,000
The Nebraska State Historical Society Headquarters project selection committee has selected Adam Brooks and Mathew Wilson of IOTO (Chicago, IL) for the commission project: The artwork site for the project is located in the rotunda entrance of the headquarters.
BUDGET: $44,000
The WSC Seymour Heritage Plaza Project announces the commissioned artist for the project will be Steve Elliott (Wayne, NE). The artwork site includes the public hardsurface and greenspace adjacent to the library and student center on campus.
BUDGET: $50,000
The Selection Committee is pleased to announce the selection of Tim Prentice (East Cornwall, CT) as the commission artist for the project.
The following artists are also under consideration for possible purchases of their existing works: Ken Smith, Michael Johnson, Deborah Murphy, Gary Bowling, Diane Farris, Dana Fritz, Greg Walter, Stuart Klipper, Kristin Pluhacek.
Final decisions on this project are expected by the end of June.

The University of Nebraska at Omaha and Nebraska Arts Council, are pleased to announce that Mel Ristau (Fort Collins, CO) has been selected for the project commission. The artworks, two aerial sculptures, have been installed and are currently on display.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Department of Physics and Astronomy and Nebraska Arts Council are pleased to announce that Ray King (Philadelphia, PA) has been selected as the commissioned artist for the project. The artwork installation (2 pieces) has been installed. A dedication ceremony will be announced once the building construction is complete.

The University of Nebraska at Omaha College of Public Affairs and Community Service (CPACS) and Nebraska Arts Council are pleased to announce the selection of kinetic aerial sculpture artist Tim Prentice (East Cornwall, CT) for the commission of the North Entrance Aerial Project artwork. The artwork has been installed and is on display.

The ENVH and the Nebraska Arts Council are pleased to announce that Omaha artist Teri Rosario has been selected as commissioned artist for a series of six paintings honoring the various branches of armed service. The artwork is now on display.
In addition to the commission, several artworks were purchased for placement throughout the home and are now on display. Slick (Tucson, AZ); Ron Nordyke (Chappell, NE); Obsessed Photographers Group (Valley City, ND); Peter Yesis (Omaha, NE); Ron Raymer (Raytown, MO).

Wayne State College and the Nebraska Arts Council are pleased to announce that the artist team of Amy Baur and Brian Boldon (Minneapolis, MN) have been selected for the project commission. The artist team has completed their installation and the work is now on display.

The UNO Criss Library Art Selection Committee and Nebraska Arts Council are pleased to announce that the rugs for this project were purchased from Nebraska Furniture Mart and the Oriental Rug Palace and are now on display in the library.

Peru State College and the Nebraska Arts Council are pleased to announce that Jan Rosetta (Loveland, CO) and Bruce Howdle (Mineral Point, WI) have completed their commissions. Both works are now on display.
