ARTS EDUCATION STATEWIDE PROGRAMS
The Nebraska Arts Council sponsors arts education programs by partnering with other arts education organizations. These programs are in addition to the Artists in Schools/Communities residencies and other grant programs. These efforts are made possible with support from the Nebraska Cultural Endowment and allow the NAC to work toward its goal of making the arts a basic part of education in Nebraska.

Prairie Visions
Center for Innovation in Arts Education at University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Prairie Visions is a statewide program which links the resources of Nebraska’s major art museums, higher education faculty, and arts organizations with educators and art specialists. The central purpose has been to work with teachers and administrators to make comprehensive arts education integral in our schools’ curricula. Participants represent a total of 97 public and private school districts serving nearly half of Nebraska’s K-12 students. Prairie Visions has served more than 2,500 educators in Nebraska. The Summer Leadership Academy continues the partnership of NAC and the UNO Center, which serves as administrator of the summer program.
