The Moran Woodwind Quintet is the faculty quintet at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, and offers recitals to communities in Nebraska. The quintet's repertoire encompasses all musical styles and periods, and programs can run from the full recital to lighter family concerts. The standard concert length is about 1 and 1/2 hours (including an intermission), but can be tailored to suit an individual community's needs. Brief oral program notes provide interesting background for each piece and acquaint the audience with the performers as well as the music. The quintet offers a short presentation or master class for high school music students (usually about one hour), or an elementary school concert at no additional charge.
