Artists: How to Apply for the Artist Directory
The Nebraska Arts Council’s Artist Directory contains the rosters for two separate programs, The Artists in Schools/Communities (AiS/C) roster of teaching artists and the Nebraska Touring Program (NTP) roster of touring artists and art exhibitions.
Artists who are not already included in the directory must apply at the annual December 1 deadline in order to be considered for either roster. Applications are reviewed by a panel, which make recommendations to the Nebraska Arts Council.
A roster listing for the AiS/C or NTP program is not a guarantee of employment. Artists are encouraged to contact NAC staff well in advance of the application deadline to discuss their proposals. Artists applying for both programs must complete both applications. Please contact Anne Alston about the AiS/C or Mike Markey about NTP with any questions regarding the applications.
