Individual Artist Fellowships

The NAC Individual Artist Fellowships (IAF) program recognizes exemplary career achievements by Nebraska artists. The IAF program supports originating artists in their respective fields by providing public recognition and monetary awards.

The IAF program focuses on various major artistic disciplines on a three-year rotation, including Visual Arts, Literature, and Filmmaking and Performing Arts.

Congratulations to the 2014 Individual Artist Fellowship in Filmmaking and Performing Arts awardees:

$5,000 Distinguished Artist Award

Lee Murray, Filmmaking - Experimental (Omaha)

$2,000 Merit Award
Becky Key Boesen, Playwriting (Lincoln)
Randall Snyder, Composition (Lincoln)
Robert Stewart, Playwriting (Lincoln)
Andrew Yolland, Playwriting (Omaha)

$1,000 Merit Award
Joseph Basque, Playwriting (Omaha)
Brian Pfoltner, Composition (Lincoln)

The Literature discipline will be the focus for the award year 2015. The call for applications will open on September 2, 2014. Please check this page at that time for more information. The IAF deadline traditionally occurs every November 15, and rotates amongst the artistic categories. Upcoming application deadlines:

  • Literature: November 15, 2014
  • Visual Arts: November 15, 2015
  • Performing Arts and Filmmaking: November 15, 2016
