Kelly Madigan

2012 Individual Artist Fellowship in Literature: $2,000 Merit Award
Kelly Madigan works as a drug and alcohol counselor at BryanLGH Independence Center, and teaches creative writing through the Nebraska Humanities Council. Her poetry has won first place in both the Prism Review Poetry Prize, and the International Reginald Shepherd Memorial Poetry Prize, and was selected for Best New Poets 2007. Her work in creative nonfiction received the Nebraska Arts Council Distinguished Artist Award in 2006, and a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship. Her self-help book, Getting Sober, (McGraw-Hill), received the National Best Books 2008 Award in Health: Addiction and Recovery Category.
