The American Masterpieces: Three Centuries of Artistic Genius is an ambitious program designed by The National Endowment for the Arts to introduce Americans to the best of their cultural and artistic legacy. Each of the 50 state arts councils has been granted a portion of the funds to launch statewide American Masterpieces initiatives. The goal of the Nebraska Arts Council’s project, Nebraska Masterpieces Arts Education Series is to increase awareness among Nebraskans of the work of contemporary artists living in our state.
