Save the date for the new evening Governor’s Arts Awards (GAA) event to be held Monday, April 2, 2012 in Lincoln at the Embassy Suites downtown.

The Governor’s Arts Awards, traditionally presented as a biennial luncheon, will be held in the evening this year, with cash bar, dinner and a presentation of awards. Governor Dave Heineman and a special guest host will serve as the masters of ceremony for the night’s festivities.

Suzanne Wise, executive director for the Nebraska Arts Council shares her excitement, “We can’t wait to truly celebrate individuals and entities adding so much to the state’s artistic landscape, especially in this new, evening format for the Governor’s Arts Awards – it’ll be a night to remember for the honorees as well as those there supporting them.”
