Join artists, creative professionals, arts administrators and cultural institutions for a unique conference and networking opportunity at the historic Tip-Top building in Omaha on June 10 & 11, 2014.

We all know art can transform lives. And we all believe artists, arts administrators and cultural institutions have the power to activate more livable communities. But what exactly is a creative community, and how do you build one in Nebraska?

Here's what you can expect at the conference:
• Case studies of successful creative communities throughout Nebraska
• Networking with thought-leaders and influential arts advocates from the public
and private sectors
• Hands-on activities to help you envision and ultimately build your own creative
community

Cultivating Creative Communities is sponsored by the Nebraska Arts Council, Nebraskans for the Arts, a nonprofit arts advocacy organization; and the Association of American Cultures, which brings together artists and arts organizations in communities of color to discuss issues, challenges and successes in building cultural policy.
